Article Types

Pan-African Journal of Research and Innovation in Education, Training and Vocational Studies accepts scholarly manuscripts that make a clear, original and relevant contribution to its field. The journal's principal article categories include:

• Original Research Articles: Qualitative, quantitative or mixed-method studies addressing teaching, learning, education systems, training or vocational development.
• Review Articles: Critical syntheses of educational research, pedagogical evidence, training practice or vocational scholarship.
• Curriculum Studies: Research on curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, reform and learning outcomes.
• Educational Case Studies: Context-rich examinations of schools, institutions, programmes, interventions, technologies or teaching practices.
• Practice and Policy Papers: Evidence-informed work connecting research to educational leadership, policy, professional practice, training or skills development.

General Expectations

Regardless of article type, submissions should have a clearly defined purpose, appropriate engagement with relevant scholarship, a transparent method or analytical framework, coherent presentation and conclusions that follow from the evidence or argument.

Authors should select the article type that best reflects the nature of their manuscript. The editorial team may recommend reclassification where another category better represents the submitted work.

Language and Presentation

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English and prepared in accordance with the journal's author guidelines. Tables, figures, data, quotations and supplementary materials should be relevant, accurately presented and properly acknowledged.
