Submission Information

PAJRI invites original and high-quality manuscripts that align with the aims and scope of Pan-African Journal of Research and Innovation in Agricultural and Plant Sciences. Every submission is first assessed by an editor before a decision is made on whether it should proceed to peer review.

Before You Submit

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere;
  • The work fits the journal's aims and scope;
  • All authors have made appropriate contributions and approve the submission;
  • Necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted or third-party material;
  • Research involving human participants, animals or sensitive data has received appropriate ethical approval where required;
  • Sources are cited according to the journal's required citation style;
  • Tables, figures and supplementary materials are accurate, readable and appropriately referenced; and
  • The manuscript has been checked for clarity, completeness and compliance with the submission requirements.

Editorial Screening and Desk Rejection

The editorial team may decline a manuscript before external peer review where it is outside scope, lacks sufficient scholarly contribution, has serious methodological or ethical problems, does not meet basic presentation requirements, or is otherwise unsuitable for the journal. Where appropriate, the editorial decision will identify the principal reason for desk rejection.

Online Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors should complete the required submission metadata accurately and upload the manuscript and any supporting files requested during the submission workflow.

After Submission

The corresponding author should monitor the submission through the journal system and respond promptly to editorial, peer-review and production communications. Acceptance is based on editorial assessment and peer review; payment of an APC does not influence the editorial decision.
