Article Types

Pan-African Journal of Research and Innovation in Agricultural and Plant Sciences accepts scholarly manuscripts that make a clear, original and relevant contribution to its field. The journal's principal article categories include:

• Original Research Articles: Field, laboratory, experimental or analytical studies presenting original agricultural or plant-science findings.
• Review Articles: Critical reviews of agricultural systems, crop science, plant biology, food security, biotechnology or related areas.
• Field and Laboratory Studies: Research reporting well-designed trials, measurements, experiments, diagnostics or laboratory analyses.
• Short Communications: Concise reports of important observations, preliminary findings, techniques or agricultural innovations.
• Technical and Extension Papers: Evidence-based work translating research into agricultural practice, extension, production systems or technology adoption.

General Expectations

Regardless of article type, submissions should have a clearly defined purpose, appropriate engagement with relevant scholarship, a transparent method or analytical framework, coherent presentation and conclusions that follow from the evidence or argument.

Authors should select the article type that best reflects the nature of their manuscript. The editorial team may recommend reclassification where another category better represents the submitted work.

Language and Presentation

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English and prepared in accordance with the journal's author guidelines. Tables, figures, data, quotations and supplementary materials should be relevant, accurately presented and properly acknowledged.
