Editorial Board Policy
Research Nexus Publication (RENP) Journal Platform
1. Purpose of the Editorial Board
The Editorial Board provides academic leadership, strategic guidance and quality oversight. Members support editorial management and help journals maintain high standards of scholarly quality, ethical integrity and international visibility.
2. Structure of the Editorial Board
Each hosted journal may include the following roles:
- Editor-in-Chief
- Associate Editors
- Section Editors
- Editorial Board Members
- Advisory Board Members, where applicable
3. Eligibility Criteria
- A doctoral qualification or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field.
- A strong record of peer-reviewed scholarly publications.
- Subject expertise aligned with the journal scope.
- Familiarity with peer review and academic editorial processes.
- Commitment to research integrity and publication ethics.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
- Review manuscripts within the member's area of expertise.
- Provide objective, constructive and timely evaluations.
- Support editorial decision-making when requested.
- Recommend qualified reviewers where necessary.
- Promote the journal within academic and professional networks.
5. Ethical Standards
Members must evaluate manuscripts fairly, avoid conflicts of interest, maintain confidentiality and report suspected plagiarism, data fabrication or research misconduct.
6. Term of Appointment
Membership is normally granted for a fixed term of two to three years and may be renewed based on participation, expertise and contribution to the journal.
7. Remuneration and Recognition
Editorial Board membership is an honorary academic service role. Members may receive professional recognition, service certificates, APC benefits and opportunities to lead special issues.
8. Conflict of Interest
Members must disclose any personal, professional or financial relationship that could influence editorial judgement.
9. Resignation or Removal
Members may resign by written notice. The journal may end an appointment for inactivity, misconduct, confidentiality breaches or failure to meet editorial responsibilities.
10. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect evolving scholarly publishing standards and best practices.
Editorial Board Incentives
Professional recognition for academic leadership and service
1. Complimentary APC Waivers
Eligible active Editorial Board Members may receive up to three complimentary APC waivers each year, subject to journal policy and satisfactory service.
2. Website Recognition
Approved members may be listed on the journal website with their role, affiliation, country and areas of expertise.
3. Editorial Service Certificates
Members may receive appointment and service certificates for academic appraisal, promotion and professional records.
4. Special Issue Opportunities
Experienced members may propose or lead special issues, thematic collections and guest-editing initiatives.
5. Editorial Advancement
Consistent, high-quality service may lead to consideration for Associate Editor, Section Editor or other senior editorial responsibilities.
