Reviewer Application Policy

1. Introduction
Peer reviewers are essential to maintaining the quality, credibility and academic integrity of scholarly publishing. This policy explains the eligibility, application process, responsibilities and ethical standards expected of reviewers.
2. Eligibility Criteria
- Relevant academic or professional expertise.
- A postgraduate qualification or equivalent research experience.
- Evidence of scholarly publications or subject competence.
- Ability to provide constructive and timely reviews.
- Commitment to confidentiality and publication ethics.
3. Application and Approval Process
Applications are assessed against the journal's subject needs, qualifications, research profile and previous reviewing experience. Approved applicants may be added to the reviewer pool.
4. Reviewer Responsibilities
- Provide objective and constructive manuscript evaluations.
- Assess quality, originality, validity and relevance.
- Submit reports within the agreed review period.
- Maintain manuscript confidentiality.
- Declare conflicts of interest before accepting an assignment.
5. Review Timeline
Reviewers are normally expected to complete evaluations within two to three weeks. Reviewers who cannot meet the deadline should notify the editorial office promptly.
6. Ethical Standards
Reviews must be fair, professional and free from personal criticism. Reviewers must not use unpublished material for personal advantage and should report suspected ethical concerns.
7. Removal or Inactivity
The journal may remove reviewers who repeatedly ignore invitations, fail to complete accepted assignments or violate professional and ethical requirements.
8. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect recognised standards and good practice in peer review.
Reviewer Incentive and Recognition Programme

The programme recognises the important contribution of peer reviewers through publication benefits, professional recognition and opportunities for editorial advancement.
1. Free Publication Incentive
A reviewer who successfully completes seven approved peer reviews within six months may qualify for one free article publication through an APC waiver, subject to the journal's reward rules.
- Reviews must be completed within the assigned deadline.
- Reviews must be constructive, objective and academically sound.
- The handling editor must approve the review as satisfactory.
2. Instant Reviewer Certificates
Digital certificates may be issued for successfully completed and approved peer reviews for use in academic appraisal, CV documentation and institutional reporting.
3. Public Reviewer Recognition
Active reviewers may be recognised on a certified reviewer page, subject to privacy settings and consent.
4. Editorial Board Pathway
Reviewers who demonstrate sustained commitment and complete high-quality reviews may be considered for Editorial Board, Associate Editor or Section Editor opportunities.
5. Purpose of the Programme
The programme encourages timely peer review, recognises academic service, strengthens the reviewer community and supports the credibility of the journals.
