Article Types

Pan-African Journal of Research and Innovation in Engineering and Technology accepts scholarly manuscripts that make a clear, original and relevant contribution to its field. The journal's principal article categories include:

• Original Research Articles: Full research papers presenting new engineering knowledge, experimental results, modelling, systems, processes or technological innovation.
• Technical Papers: Applied studies describing the design, testing, optimisation or implementation of engineering solutions and technologies.
• Review Articles: Critical reviews of established or emerging engineering fields, technologies, standards, methods or applications.
• Design and Development Studies: Papers documenting the engineering design process, prototypes, performance evaluation and lessons from development.
• Case Studies: Evidence-based analyses of real engineering projects, systems, infrastructure, industrial processes or technology deployments.

General Expectations

Regardless of article type, submissions should have a clearly defined purpose, appropriate engagement with relevant scholarship, a transparent method or analytical framework, coherent presentation and conclusions that follow from the evidence or argument.

Authors should select the article type that best reflects the nature of their manuscript. The editorial team may recommend reclassification where another category better represents the submitted work.

Language and Presentation

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English and prepared in accordance with the journal's author guidelines. Tables, figures, data, quotations and supplementary materials should be relevant, accurately presented and properly acknowledged.
